Denmark has at least two places which have historically been considered to be
country's highpoints. Ejer Bavnehøj is slightly higher (173m) but its height is
largely due to ancient burial mounds, so it is not considered to be a natural
highpoint. The current "official" highpoint is Yding Skovhøj, which is 171
meters high. To be sure, we visited both :-)

One can see from far away that this is the "official" highpoint. |

What is the point of measuring a hill's height to the nearest centimeter? |

Virtually all of Denmark is developed, fields and villages in every direction. |
