We visited Driskill Mountain on March 16th, 2004.
 

Here are the instructions if you're coming from south
1. From I-49 take exit 84 (in Alexandria, LA) to US-167 North
2. Stay on US-167 for about 73 miles, then (near Hodge) )turn left onto SR-147
3. Go 14.3 miles and turn left onto SR-507
4. Go about 2.7 miles. You should see a church on the right. Park there and start your walking trip.
